People often ask me what is the easiest place to start decluttering. I’ve found that most people enjoy sorting out their linen cupboard. Believe it or not it can be done quickly and without too much angst. I’ve yet to meet anyone who doesn’t have loads of tatty towels and tired sheets. So dump them – recycle if possible. Then decide how many sets of bedlinen you need for every room in the house and for guests. Usually two sets is enough per bed. Similarly with towels – 2-3 sets per person is enough.
Your reward: revamp your room with some crisp new bedlinen. I love white duvet covers and towels. It’s a cheap way to give your bedroom and bathroom a fresh new look. Enjoy yourself. Decluttering can be fun!
